Why am I getting no results in my search?

There are several possible reasons for not receiving any results from a search. The most common reason is that the search filters being used are not applicable to the data that you are searching. For example, doing a search and filtering for “Country of Funder - UK”, and then trying to find a US-based funder will not produce any results. Another reason may be that the syntax used in the search may not be correct. A rogue “ or an ‘OR’ in lower case etc. may produce no results, or unexpected results.

Clearly, in some cases even a correctly entered keyword will not retrieve any results in a search if it is not present in the database.
